🌟meet DR. ELLIOTT HEFLIN, JR.

Dr. Elliott Heflin, Jr. is a STEM educator, technologist, and founder of RealityTech Academy, an organization dedicated to expanding access to coding, robotics, and AI education for students of all backgrounds. With a long-standing commitment to empowering underserved communities, Dr. Heflin has spent years helping young innovators gain skills that prepare them for the future workforce.

He has taught thousands of students through platforms such as Outschool, Junior Achievement, Johnson STEM Activity Center (JSAC) RealityTech Academy, specializing in Python, Advanced Python, JavaScript, Scratch programming, robotics, and humanoid robotics (using Pepper and NAO robots). His courses emphasize real-world application, project-based learning, and confidence-building through hands-on STEM experiences.

Beyond teaching, Dr. Heflin actively partners with STEM institutions, including the Johnson STEM Activity Center (JSAC) founded by Dr. Lonnie Johnson. His outreach work includes supporting Title I schools, homeschool communities, and youth programs—creating pathways for students who traditionally have limited access to technology education.

Dr. Heflin’s mission centers on equity, opportunity, and innovation. He believes every child—regardless of zip code—deserves the chance to develop high-value skills in programming, robotics, and emerging technologies. Through RealityTech Academy, he continues to build programs, workshops, and partnerships that inspire the next generation of creators, engineers, and problem-solvers.
